Increasing the maximum file size in IIS

This post is helping you to solve the “file size issue” – when it is needed to upload a file size larger than 5 Mb as it is default IIS setting.

First update needed is to define maxRequestLength variable by adding it in <system.web> section. Here we will define the maximum file size. This is a propriety of HttpRuntime element. Check related Microsoft documentation here.

Then we have to define maxAllowedContentLength where we have to define maximum length in bits. This is part of <requestLimits> element, for more check Microsoft documentation.

In the end, you have to save the file and restart the web application.

Success!
